Meet the Team

Alexandra S. Wimberly, PhD, LCSW-C

Psychotherapist and Consultant

About Me

I provide individual, couples, consensual non-monogamous, and group therapy to adults who seek support in transforming their lives. Therapy with me is a place to slow down, take a deeper look at the factors that contribute to your experience, and make meaningful changes.

My Approach

My style is engaged and reflective. I ask questions, offer observations, help identify patterns and introduce practical strategies when they may be useful. My goal is to help you better understand yourself and move forward in ways that are consistent with your values.

I draw from mindfulness, strengths-based, and trauma-informed approaches. I tailor therapy to each client rather than following one prescribed method.

Psychotherapist

About Me

I provide individual, couples, and consensual non-monogamous therapy to adults navigating emotional roadblocks, life transitions, and experiences that may feel taboo or difficult to discuss. As a queer therapist, I am passionate about supporting LGBTQ+ clients and others whose identities, relationships, or life experiences may benefit from greater affirmation and care.

My Approach

I cultivate a space of honesty and compassion, to help you discover your inherent potential for reflection, connection, and growth.

Your reasons for seeking therapy deserve to be understood on their own terms. Rather than viewing struggles as problems to diagnose and eliminate, I approach them as meaningful parts of your story that can offer insight into how you have adapted in response to life's challenges. Through this process of exploration, you will develop a deeper understanding of your needs and greater capacity to secure them.

I draw from Internal Family Systems, mindfulness, and psychodynamic approaches.
